How it started:
Since the beginning of the war, February 24, 2022, in Ukraine, we, Mariusz and Lina, have been committed to humanitarian aid to the people of our native country.
Help is needed in many places around the world, but we want to commit ourselves specifically to our own country.
Until recently, we had filled our house with many donated goods, which we collected for Ukraine with the help of friends and acquaintances
We often paid the high transport costs out of our own pockets.
In order to structure the aid more and to give it a legal basis, we have set up the ‘ Stichting Samen Sterk, Samen Vrij (Together Strong-Together Free’ Foundation) together with Marco Veurink.
Thanks to the help of Natasja and Ramon Nafzger of Stichting de Bergse Kracht, the foundation has had a flying start.
We mainly focus on helping the following target groups:
- Orphans, many of whom are visually disabled
- Hospitals, especially located at the front.
- All citizens who have become distressed and displaced, due to war violence and other circumstances (such as the dam breach).
- We also take care of the abandoned animals.
But we are also committed to the abandoned and rescued pets.
We cooperate with various Ukrainian foundations.
And partly due to our network in the Netherlands and within Ukraine and the personal contacts with family and friends in Ukraine, the Samen Sterk-Samen Vrij Foundation can guarantee that the desired and required goods will reach the people who need them most. In this way, the Foundation ensures that nothing first ends up in the heap of a warehouse
